Bring Money to Your House with This New Year's Ritual

December 31st 2008 15:53
Every area of the country has various traditions for the holidays that are supposed to bring good luck. The New Year is an especially big holiday for those who are superstitious or into these rituals.

I'm not superstitious and not really into rituals, except for one. I grew up with the belief that if I do the following, I will have plenty of money to carry me through the upcoming year. Now don't laugh too hard because I can honestly say that every year I did it, I did not suffer a bit financially during the year. No, I didn't get rich, but I had plenty to live nice.

So, here is what you do. On New Year's Eve, take some money and put it outside your house somewhere. It doesn't matter if it's just a one dollar bill or bigger (though I'm wondering if you put out bigger money if you will get bigger money....I'll have to try it.) Bury it, put it under a rock or under your doormat, but don't tell anyone where it is or they might rob you. Leave it there until the next day (New Year's day) and then retrieve it and walk around to your front door (money in hand) and bring it back inside your house. You will have a great year financially.

Whatever you do, don't forget to bring it back in before midnight on New Year's Day or it will have the opposite affect.

May all of you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year!!!!!

I'll give it a try! In my family, we have to eat black-eyed peas on New Years Day to promote prosperity during the year. Happy New Years!!!

Yeah we also do pork and kraut for New Years Day. I'm adding black-eyed peas to our repetoire....can't hurt! Thanks for dropping SL and I wish you a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
