Epocrates announced their Free, Web-based Drug and Health Plan Formulary Product which is a new online service for Healthcare Professionals. The service allows clinicians and support staff to access information on over 3,300 drugs such as Prevacid and coverage information for over 130 health plans through their online version for free. The information contained in this online database includes drug pricing, dosing, potential interaction and Medicare Part D Formulary coverage as well as the various insurance coverages. Epocrates Inc. says that over 500,000 healthcare professionals already use the product and claims it can save time, money and lives.
