Chronology of an Old Woman's Death part 4

Okay, so they move Clair to the nursing home. I am just glad she’s not going back out to the house with Ron. Sherry calls and says that one of the doctors finally came in and voiced his concern over Claire’s welfare and asked if her husband was alive? Sherry said she started crying and couldn’t hold back and told the doctor that she believed that Ron was abusing Charley and that he was probably in danger. She said that Rob jumped up all ticked off saying crap like, “now you don’t know that so you better shut up.” So, the doctor explains to Rob that since he is so old and frail and not quite with it, just as a precaution he should be put in a nursing home as well.
Rob reluctantly agrees as grandson Ron walks into the room. Rob turns to Ron and tells him what was just said and Ron goes off, cussing and carrying on and saying that both the old folks are coming home with him. The doctor calls security and tells Ron that the paperwork is done for Claire and no matter what, she is going there. Ron leaves in a huff and the doctor says to Rob and Sherry, “One of you need to pick your dad up for lunch and bring him to the hospital. I’ll have admission orders ready and once admitted, I’ll put him in a nursing home.”
She says she’s afraid to go out and get him with Ron so ticked off. Rob hesitates but says he’ll do it on Sunday (three days away) and the doctor agrees. Well Sunday came and went and Rob did not do as directed.
Our phone rings on Monday and my husband says don’t answer because he’s tired of hearing about all this stupidity. I answered, because I want more of this saga. Anyway on the other end of the phone is the wife of Rob. She says, Rob didn’t take his dad to the hospital like he was supposed to and they got into a big fight. She says he won’t tell her why he is being so resistant (my guess is that its about money…they all think that whatever their parents had is theirs and they aren’t even dead yet). AND then she adds that the fight got really big when she told her husband about watching Ron put stuff in Claire and Charley’s food and coffee!
I told her she should call the police immediately and she said no. I told her to hang up and I’ll call and she started freaking saying “no, please no, Rob will beat the hell out me…probably kill me….I shouldn’t have said anything. Please” then she hung up on me.
I swear to God all these people are nuts. My husband decides to call Sherry and see what kind of things she says. And boy did she say some things….
