Does getting old mean getting clumsy?

I don't think I'm going to do too well at this aging thing.
My husband is in his sixties and is ten years older than me. I never gave this any thought until recently. He seems to be so clumsy. I hate when he tries to fix anything around the house, because he always seems to hurt himself.
For example, two weeks ago, he was mowing the grass and decided that his blade needed sharpened. He stopped and sharpened it and then ended up cutting himself when he put it back on. Two days later, he was on a ladder cleaning the ceiling of our porch when he fell off the ladder.
Now today, he goes into my home office to check out my new office chairs, he sits in one and somehow the chair tipped over and he whacked his head a good one.
Even he is baffled over all these little accidents. I am stressed because I fear he is going to kill himself. I certainly see why older people hire everything done. If I were employed right nwo that is exactly what I would do!
