Eyelash growth serums

I am so curious as to whether these so called eyelash growth serums really work or not. Since I've gotten older, my eyelashes have gotten so thinned out and short I can barely see them. It really makes a person look older because for many of us, our eyes may be our best feature. Anyway, I keep watching all these commericals and I'm wondering if they might really work or not. I know there is a prescription but I don't want to use that. Have any of you used these products? Did they really work and make your lashes longer? I'd love to know!
