I have been trying to get some life insurance quotes for a policy on my mother. Please don't think I want to profit on losing my mom, it's not about that. She is 75 and does not have any insurance, nor does she have any income to speak of. She lives on SS which isn't that much. My thought is that it would just be a good thing to have just enough to cover burial. this way it isn't a burden on my budget or my sister's.
First off people act funny when you tell them you want to buy a policy on someone else. It is legal as long as it is a parent. But the worst part is the cost. I think I may be better off just putting back a couple of bucks a month. It's pretty expensive and my mom is very healthy and active. I have to give this some thought.
