I need a vacation

It has been a year since we've been anywhere. I am wishing (though I'd never say it outloud) that my kids will do like they did last year for Christmas for us. They bought us a cruise. It was so nice and so relaxing just to do nothing for five days. That had to be the best gift we have ever received.
This being unemployed is a tough thing. I keep looking for work, but I just get no response. I know part of the reason is my age and the other part is simply the economy. Anyway, I am going to have to get creative.
A friend of mine suggested that we visit a hotel gulf shores. That's really not a bad idea. Alabama is only an hour away, though we have really only driven through it and maybe if I offer to do a review, maybe I can get a discount. If not, no biggie because I hear that hotels are really cheap right now.
Okay, that's the plan. I'm going to check on it tomorrow. Wow, I feel better already!
