Lupus and Weight Gain

I have had Lupus for almost four years now. Well, I should say I was diagnosed with Lupus four years ago. It has been quite challenging to deal with, but I am finally in a good place to deal with it.
I've learned how to use my thoughts to get past a lot of the pain and i have simply accepted the fact that I can only write or draw when my eyes are working. (The lupus makes my vision double and blurred about six hours out of almost every day). That was frustrating at first, but now, I just accept it as my reality.
What I am having a problem with, is all the weight gain. I don't think it is actually from the Lupus, but from the medications they give me. Things like steroids really make you gain weight. Since I was diagnosed four years ago I have gained fifty pounds and I am so unhappy with that.
My dieting attempts have all failed. It seems if I dont' eat with the medications I feel sick. So I have decided that I am going to try some weight loss pills to see if that will help. I'm just going to try the over-the-counter ones first. I hope it works because I am really sick of the way I look. Wish me luck!
