Mesothelioma

You know I had never heard of mesothelioma until recently. No, I need to correct that, about 15 years ago my uncle had this type of cancer and died, however when we asked what caused it, the doctor responded, "what causes any cancer." Fair enough, or so we thought. Every other commerciall I see these days is about it. Now, they are very specific about how people get this particular type of cancer.
My uncle had been exposed to asbestos when he was in the Navy working on ships. Then he took at job at a prison where there was also asbestos. I am wondering what the statue of limitations is for this type of thing. I assume we are way out of it, but I do think I should probably call just to confirm that.
