Preacher Man - conclusion....

“But what's that got to do with this?”
Morales looked thoughtful for a moment, searching carefully for the right words. “I am a vehicle for God's will and love...right now he feels you need to experience some love...and he has told me to give it to you. Do you believe?” Without waiting for a response, Morales leaned up and over to Shamey, pulled his head to his face and kissed him. Shamey pulled back abruptly.
“Don't be afraid...I won't hurt you. You need God's love.” Still holding on to Shamey’s head, Morales joined him on his bunk. Shamey looked nervous but did not resist as Morales laid him back down and kissed his chest, working his way down to Shamey’s groin area.

There were a lot of inmates playing basketball in the prison gym. Some were in the corner of the gym lifting weights. Morales was surrounded by several inmates in another corner of the room by some bleachers that were folded up against the wall. Shamey was standing next to Morales. Inmate Ricker looked in awe at Morales as he spoke. Morales noticed his admirer’s stare. “Listen, guys, I need to speak to Ricker alone.”
The inmates nodded and walked away, including Shamey. Morales led Ricker to the side of the bleachers. “Have you ever felt God's love?”
Ricker looked at the floor. “I'm not sure...I think I do since I met you.”
Morales smiled. “You've done many things wrong in your life...God knows this...but he forgives you and he wants me to show you that he forgives...that he loves you. Are you ready?”
“I...think....”
Morales looked around the room to see if anyone was watching them. He took Ricker's hand and led him behind the bleachers, against the wall. Shamey stood against the wall across the room and watched as the two disappeared behind the bleachers.

Shamey was laying on his bed, pouting. Morales sat quietly for a while and watched Shamey’s childlike face. After several minutes, Morales spoke to him. “What's wrong?” he asked.
Shamey rolled over on his side with his back to Morales.
“I said...what's wrong? You know you can tell me.”
There was no response from Shamey. Morales sat up and continued, “Oh...I get it...you saw me today with Ricker...that's it isn't it?”
Shamey pulled his pillow over his head to emphasize the point that he did not want to hear what Morales had to say. But, Morales persisted. “Look, you must understand that God's love is huge and it is my job to spread it to all who need it. Ricker needed it. I have to obey God! But...Shamey...you are my favorite. I am so glad God sent me to you.”
Shamey rolled over and looked at Morales. Morales continued his plea, “I love you...you're very special.”
Finally, Shamey spoke, “Is it really about God...or are you a fag?”
His bluntness took Morales by surprise. Morales fell back on his bunk. “Is that what you think?” he asked sounding hurt.
Shamey sat up. “I don't know what I think anymore.”
“Shamey...you must not do anything you think is wrong. If you doubt that God sent me to you...then you need to stay away from me...If you feel I'm a fag and you aren't hip to the love and safety I can give you...then stay away. I would never force you into anything. But, I think...you love me...I think...you love God...and even if the whole world sees us as fags...I think you know in your heart that God would not have brought us together if it was wrong....”
“Being a fag is wrong....”
“But sharing love given by God is not. Are you afraid to face the fact that you love me? Or are you just unhappy about sharing my love with others?”
Shamey jumped out of bed and paced.
Morales watched his face for a sign that he was wavering. He thought he saw a flicker and he continued, “It bothered you when I was with Ricker...admit it...and then get over it. I must fulfill God's wishes.
Shamey flashed Morales a disgusted look and then turned and walked away.
