Just How Connected Are We? Looking for participants...

I've been reading alot about the six degrees of separation theory. It's a very interesting concept regarding how we are all connected. I'd like to pose doing our own experiment regarding this. I think it would be particularly interesting in light of the fact that we all seem connected via the internet, even more than in real life.I think it would be interesting to see how connected we are through email.
First, if you'd like to read about this theory click here Then, if you want to participate post a response. I am composing a list of names of people who we would not normally likely have access to. Each participant will be given one of these names and your goal is to somehow connect with them by contacting people you know, who can in turn contact people they know to contact people they know and so on and so forth until the person named is finally reached. Make sure to ask each person you contact to reference you and them self so that it can be verified via forwarded emails. If at the end of the connection the people do not want their email published for proof on the blog then maybe we could do something like scan a letter or some such thing just to verify.

pyramid referring is all the rage, so why not for research.
i can combine the two; i'll see how many people join my "upline" at bcr by including my affiliate address. It could be like comparing the material and spiritual worlds.
